MONOFILAMENT POLYAMIDE (NYLON) NON ABSORBABLE SURGICAL SUTURE

Corelon are non-absorbable sutures and possess excellent tensile strength. Nylon sutures are available in black colour. Nylon sutures have excellent knot security properties and can be easily removed with no tissue adherence. These sutures are infection resistant

Corelene sutures are monofilament sutures of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin. Polypropylene sutures are non-absorbable and provide permanent wound support.

 

  • Corelene has high plasticity which allows better accommodation of wound healing

  • Corelene sutures have excellent tensile strength and the suture does not elongate while knotting, which is ideal for knot security

  • Corelene sutures are inert and tissue reaction is almost negligible
